Defining a model of CALL

 



It is often considered a language teaching method, however, this is not always the case. Currently, “Computer-based language learning” puts the emphasis on communication and tasks make use of various types of activities, each with a specific material, e.g. For example, tutorials (in which the student works on new content) or educational games (in which new knowledge is activated). The computer makes it possible to practice the four basic skills and helps students to develop reading, writing, etc. skills; It is a suitable assistant for learning pronunciation, since it repeats tirelessly; it is a valuable tool for translation, consulting monolingual or bilingual dictionaries; etc
 Elements in the CALL Design Process  
The elements that include the design of the usage of CALL in the classrooms are:
  • Software
  • Hardaware
  • Authoring Packages
  • The Internet and Email
